How the Program Works

Family Promise provides hands-on support and guidance to help families secure and maintain permanent housing:

Partners in Housing

Family Promise’s Partners in Housing program is our answer to the affordable housing crisis. With the help of amazing volunteers, we buy and fix up manufactured homes so they become affordable, welcoming places for families to live. Families pay only the lot rent, which is one of the most affordable options in Grand Rapids. They also get to own their home and build equity over time, which is a proven way to break the cycle of poverty.
